Global Situation Room’s Kasey Henderson Celebrated As An Alexandria Chamber of Commerce 40 Under 40 Honoree

Global Situation Room, Inc. (GSR), an elite strategic communications firm renowned for working on the most complex public affairs challenges, announced Senior Account Manager Kasey Henderson will be recognized by the Alexandria Chamber of Commerce as a 40 Under 40 honoree and a member of the program’s 2023 class – it’s 8th since the program began in 2016.

“I am honored to be recognized as a 40 under 40 awardee alongside an inspiring group of leaders from Alexandria, redefining our professional landscape through transformative change locally and around the world,” said GSR’s Kasey Henderson. “Communications can be a catalyst for meaningful connections and impactful change, and by amplifying authentic voices and championing innovative causes, we can harness the power of communications to shape a brighter, more connected world.”

The Alexandria Chamber’s 40 Under 40 Awards is a region-wide program that recognizes 40 of Alexandria’s local leaders under 40 years old who have a powerful impact on the community’s thriving business culture.  Henderson, along with others from this year’s 2023 40 Under 40 class will be honored at an awards ceremony on July 20th at the American Physical Therapy Association.

Since joining GSR, Henderson has overseen several teams working on a variety of clients for the firm. Notably, she has led efforts with Kidsave, an international child welfare organization that helps older youth find their forever families. To spotlight the plight of children and families displaced by the war in Ukraine, Henderson spearheaded the development of the global #FlatSasha campaign and facilitated partnerships with the business community for a high-level engagement featuring Ukraine’s Ambassador to the U.S. Henderson recently led the rebranding of World Bank’s flagship report Business Ready and also organized a high-profile event at the National Press Club, bringing together businesses, news organizations, and those who care about mental health to bring about change in the news coverage to make progress.

“Global Situation Room provides world-class crisis communications and thought leadership support and we’re fueled by people who care about the impact we leave behind,” said GSR CEO Johanna Maska. “Kasey not only finds opportunities to bring business to the table to solve problems, she also finds opportunities to help her team and her community in Alexandria.”
