Account Manager
As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for several major clients, helping to develop and operationalize ambitious plans and programs. At GSR we focus on achieving impact. From high-profile media engagements to intimate roundtables with industry leaders, the work provides myriad opportunities to go beyond the superficial stuff. We create content that moves the needle and will look to your expertise in helping realize that optimal outcome. Your role is central to aligning their story with a crowded, constantly changing newscycle. Responsibilities:
Serving as day-to-day primary client contact across multiple accounts
Overseeing a team that consistently delivers exceptional, client-ready work
Leading strategic planning process on behalf of multiple clients
Tracking news developments relevant to clients
Writing compelling press releases, op-eds, and speeches
Present persuasively and drive meetings towards desired outcomes
Propose new and innovative ideas for stories, thought leadership, events, partnerships, and other methods for helping clients grow their public profile
Finding information and resources that can support our work
Identifying and addressing emerging issues, risks

Qualifications
A BA/BS degree
A minimum of 5 years experience, 1-2 years of client management
Strong strategic vision, coupled with an acute ability to chart its execution
Can work well under pressure and with limited guidance, support colleagues
Drafting diverse and persuasive written materials with little input or editing required
Strong knowledge of the media and policy issues
Ability to successfully multitask and guide a team towards goals

Account Supervisor
Global Situation Room®, Inc. (GSR) is looking to hire an Account Supervisor to play a crucial role in assisting in managing client relationships and accounts, developing PR strategies, and executing effective campaigns. They will also be responsible for collaborating closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of PR initiatives. The role will be dynamic, and offers exciting opportunities for development. Responsibilities:
Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to junior team members, including interns and entry-level staff.
Review work produced by junior team members to ensure it meets quality standards and aligns with client expectations. Give feedback when necessary.
Serve as day-to-day client support assisting account managers across multiple accounts.
Proactively suggests media outreach and strategy ideas for multiple clients across industries, sharing ideas with the team that will demonstrate value to the client.
Seamlessly coordinate requests from media and bloggers.
Propose story ideas (scope, timing) and educate on key news themes.
Assist with media interview preparation and provide clients with useful briefing materials prior to the interview.
Draft diverse and persuasive written materials accurately and in a timely fashion with little input or editing required.
Leverage prior media relationships on behalf of clients and the broader team.
Idea generation at weekly new business meeting.
Provide guidance and assistance in revising and improving work as needed.

You’re perfect for this job if you have:
BA/BS degree in journalism, communications, public relations or other related field is required.
A minimum of 4 years of experience is required, along with 6+ months of client management experience.
Previous agency experience is a plus.
Demonstrated understanding of news media.
Experience facilitating media interviews and pitching stories as well as developing robust communications plans.
Experience writing and developing press materials.

Responsibilities:
Serving as a key member of the account team, developing core components from a client’s strategic plans
