Kasey Henderson

Account Director

Kasey Henderson is a strategic communications leader, global connector, and passionate advocate for humanitarian issues, gender equality, and reproductive rights.

As an Account Director at Global Situation Room, Kasey leads major accounts in the philanthropy, global trade, and social advocacy sectors, along with mission-driven organizations to amplify their impact through strategic communications. She helps leaders and organizations navigate through their most Complex Communications® challenges, develop innovative social impact programs, and drive the public debate. Her clients have included JetBlue, the World Bank and some of the world's most high-profile celebrities. Drawing on her extensive crisis management experience, Kasey provides counsel to clients facing critical moments of uncertainty, helping them transform challenges into opportunities for growth. Her work spans strategic planning, message development, crisis preparedness, and thought leadership cultivation for some of the sector's most influential voices.

Kasey is recognized as one of Washington's most talented communications professionals and was recently honored on Alexandria's 40 Under 40 list.  Before joining GSR, Kasey was the advocacy and communications lead for A360, Population Services International's (PSI) flagship adolescent contraceptive program operating in Nigeria, Kenya and Ethiopia. She previously coordinated the Self-Care Trailblazer Group, overseeing and developing advocacy strategies while growing the membership base of the coalition, and spent 2.5 years working with the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Health in Namibia. Kasey has a wealth of experience developing and executing communications, media, and advocacy campaigns for NGOs and mission-driven projects in the U.S., Europe, and across sub-Saharan Africa. Kasey received her bachelor's degree in policy, planning, and development from the University of Southern California.
