PR News Top 100 is the Latest Major Recognition for the Global Situation Room

(Alexandria, VA) A year marked by unprecedented reputational risk for brands brought extraordinary growth that has propelled the Global Situation Room, Inc. (GSR) into the top tier of public affairs agencies.  The most recent accolade comes from PR News, which selected the firm as among the Agency Elite Top 100 for 2024.  This is the first time GSR has been chosen for the ranking, which is based on an assessment of impact from its past projects and client feedback.

“We have repeatedly won business away from larger agencies in the last year and I think the industry has now recognized just how good our team has become,” said Brett Bruen, GSR’s President.  “I am proud to share this accomplishment with clients, who have believed in us and the need to push communications strategies into a new generation that goes beyond the standard stuff.”

Among the recent new account wins for the agency are the Society for Human Resources Management, ASUS, and the Cities of Opportunity initiative at the National League of Cities.  GSR was ranked earlier this year by PR Week as among the largest 200 public relations firms in the world, based on annual revenue.  The company’s executives said 2023 has again seen double-digit growth, which will push them further up next year’s list.

Situation Room Studios, a podcast production arm, was also launched in April by GSR.  The new division, headed by former Bloomberg Executive Producer Christine Baratta, is delivering chart-topping shows for clients looking to elevate their thought leadership in a unique and meaningful way.  Their award-winning podcasts have secured numerous major newsmaker interviews in recent months, including former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, CNN’s Christiane Amanpour, and U.S. Senator Mark Warner.
