Two Senior Vice Presidents Join the Global Situation Room’s Expanding Leadership Team

Alexandria, Va., September 6, 2023Global Situation Room Inc. (GSR), an elite strategic communications firm known for working on the most complex public affairs challenges, announced the addition of two key leaders into newly created roles, as the firm continues its rapid expansion. Kat Maramba has been appointed Senior Vice President of Strategic Services, while Aimee Gonzalez will take on the role of Senior Vice President of Strategic Operations. The firm said additional hires will be rolled out in the coming weeks.

Maramba has been with GSR for nearly three years as Vice President of Media Engagement. She led work on a number of major accounts including the National League of Cities, Responsibility.org, and The Elders. In her new role as Senior Vice President of Strategic Services, she will help oversee the engagement strategies of client-facing teams and the release of new service offerings and communications products, ensuring that GSR continues to deliver sophisticated solutions tailored to address each client’s most complex communications challenges.

Gonzalez will step into the Senior Vice President of Strategic Operations role, overseeing GSR’s infrastructure, including legal, finance, technology and other services. Her responsibilities include expanding the firm’s recruitment, training and resource programs, along with business development. She has worked at several leading public relations and law firms, along with serving three former U.S. Presidents.
