Brett Bruen, PRESIDENT

Brett Bruen is a former U.S. Diplomat who served as Director of Public Engagement at the White House National Security Council.  Brett is a specialist in using strategic communications to influence the course of crisis and conflict. Bruen created some of the government’s most innovative international programs for reaching new audiences around the world.  Brett also unified public and private entrepreneurship programs for the first time under one banner, as part of President Obama's Spark Global Entrepreneurship initiative. Brett served in the Ivory Coast, Liberia, Guinea, Iraq, Venezuela, Argentina, Zambia, and Eritrea. He serves as an adjunct faculty member of the Federal Executive Institute, where he trains senior U.S. Government leaders on strategy and world affairs. 


Johanna Maska, CEO

Johanna Maska was the Director of Press Advance for President Barack Obama.  In that role, Maska orchestrated President Obama's press coverage for 8 years, from the beginning of the Iowa caucuses through the second term in the White House. Maska traveled with the President to more than 40 states and to 40 countries, including extended tours of Asia, South America, Europe and Africa.  Maska has worked with Diplomats, governments, businesses, media organizations and entrepreneurs around the world.  She's organized multinational summits including NATO, G8, APEC, G20, and Summit of Americas.  She organized the press coverage for much of what will be written in history for President Barack Obama's administration. 


Nieves Perez, COO

Nieves Perez is a journalist, communicator, global operations expert. She worked as Executive Producer of the world affairs program “International Compass,” which aired daily on television and radio in Venezuela.  She traveled as a journalist to Spain, France, Belgium, Slovenia, the Czech Republic, South Korea, and the United States.  She has lived on four continents and speaks Spanish, English, as well as French. Nieves is currently finishing her dissertation for a PhD in international relations from the University of the Basque Country in Bilbao, Spain.
